Introduction: In response to China's Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality strategy, the Bluetech Clean Air Alliance(hereinafter referred to as‘BCAA’) collaborated with WIPO GREEN to introduce the WIPO GREEN Acceleration Project to China in 2021. The China project focuses on accelerating the transfer, matching, and deployment of green technologies to address green development challenges and technology needs in cities. In addition, the plan is also to address the accelerations of green innovations through leveraging intellectual property, financial, and industrial resources, to supporting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate change mitigation targets. In China, the WIPO GREEN City Acceleration Project envisions the selection of 5 pilot cities to match green technologies with municipal green technology needs to resolve cities’ green challenges. The project recruits green technologies globally, organizes acceleration activities, facilitates technology-needs matching, and promotes their deployment, demonstration, and replication.
This report compiles key progress of the WIPO GREENAcceleration Project Beijing Pilot (2021-mid-2025),outlining its implementation methodology, operationalpriorities, and innovative measures during execution.It documents achievements while providing referenceframeworks for other cities to advance the deployment ofWIPO GREEN Acceleration Project.
