Job Description: Editor (Policy & Market)


Innovation Centre for Clean-air Solutions (ICCS) is an environmental think-tank focusing on promoting sustainable development via policy research, technology assessment, and innovative investment. With support from Energy Foundation, ICCS was founded in 2012 to act as the secretariat of Clean Air Alliance of China (CAAC), an international platform of think-tanks targeting at cleaning up China’s air pollution via strengthened and systematic technical solutions. CAAC was initiated by ten leading research institutions, and is fostering and managing a high-level network composed of representatives from provinces, municipalities, relevant international and domestic institutions, governmental agencies, enterprises, and NGOs.

ICCS works with the alliance members, experts, and partners to provide integrated technical support in following domains:

       lSupport establishing long-term national clean-air strategies and policies;

       lAssist local policy making and implementation;

       lPromote the assessment and application of clean air technologies;

       lLeverage more funds to support pollution prevention and control;

       lSupport capacity building and awareness rising.

ICCS’s strength is an in-depth understanding of the many facets of environmental and social issues, as well as energy and climate change, and addressing these issues through innovative promotion of clean and sustainable technologies. Our work at the forefront of developing policy and strategy informs our project-related work, and vice versa. We assemble an interdisciplinary project team combining the relevant technical expertise, project management skills and innovation. This allows us to deliver successful projects. ICCS is looking for an editor to start employment as soon as possible. We offer challenging and professional work circumstances in an expanding and innovative field with many local and international partners and contacts.

Responsibilities:

-In-depth analysis of articles, commentaries and reports;

-Conduct interviews for leading experts and business leaders to compile relevant materials (wechat articles, newsletters, policy & market analysis reports, etc.);

-Coordinate media partners for press conference, forum and other activities;

-Carry out data and information collection via online and offline resources;

-Support design and implementation of communication campaign;

-Contribute to quality control of reports and publications;

-Other task and duties as assigned.

Our expectations:

-Bachelor's Degree or higher;

-At least 3 years’working experience in environment and energy related areas, with in-depth knowledge of the fields;

-Strong capability and willingness of writing;

-Good sense of logic and able to conduct comprehensive analysis;

-Editing experience preferred, art design skill is a plus;

-Attention to detail, especially detailed editing of relevant articles and reports;

-Proficient in written and spoken English;

-Passion in environmental protection, particularly air quality improvement;

-Highly efficient, excellent communication skills, team player, can work independently;

-Deliver technical support on air quality management for provinces and cities;

-Collect relevant information on national and international clean air policies, measures, and technologies;

-Conduct analysis on clean air policies, measures, and technologies;

-Support to compile relevant research and assessment reports in English and Chinese (including translation);

-Work closely with representatives from provinces, cities and relevant organizations;

-Participate in workshops, project missions, and provide necessary technical inputs;

-Other task and duties as assigned.

Our expectations:

-Master's degree in environmental science/engineering or relevant domains, preferable air pollution prevention and control;

-Preferably with working experience in relevant field, and be familiar with air emission inventory, air quality modelling, air quality planning, control technologies;

-Fast learner with the ability and passions to face to new challenges;

-Team player with proactive attitude in solving problems;

-Strong analytical, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills;

-Excellent command of English (particularly writing and speaking).

职位. 助理分析员(环境方向)

主要职责:

1. 支持联盟开展清洁空气工具使用推广工作,为城市提供技术支持;

2. 跟踪国内外清洁空气方面的政策动态和措施等信息;

3. 开展清洁空气政策、方法和技术等方面的分析工作;

4. 支持相关研究报告和评估报告的编制工作,包括中英互译;

5. 与省市和相关机构代表共同开展清洁空气相关研究工作;

6. 参与小组合作,提供必要的技术支持;

7. 领导交办的其他工作任务。

职位要求:

1. 硕士以上学位,毕业于环境科学/工程或者其他相关专业,研究方向为大气污染控制最佳;

2. 有相关领域工作经验,熟悉大气污染物清单、空气质量模型、空气质量规划以及控制技术等方面的知识;

3. 面对挑战时能够快速适应并掌握相应技能;

4. 良好的团队合作意识,有主动解决问题的能力;

5. 有较强的分析能力,并具有较好的人际沟通和协调能力,耐心细致、责任心强;

6. 具有良好的英语听说和读写水平。
