IE expo 2019 Conference on flue Gas Control Technology in non-electric Industry was held in Shanghai New International Expo Center on April 15. The Forum was co-hosted by Bluetech Clean Air Alliance (BCAA), Atmospheric Environment branch of China Society of Environmental Sciences and IE expo China. Dr. Ling Xuan, the Secretary General of BCAA made a thematic report at the conference as a special guest.
The forum attracted over 120 participants from various industry associations, universities, research institutes, enterprises, financial investment company and other institutions. At the forum, experts from the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Iron and Steel Industry Association and other institutions discussed on the policy and technology of flue gas treatment in the non-electric industry, especially in view of the recent progress. Technical attempts and problem challenges of flue gas treatment policies in the steel and cement industries was shared.
With the government's increasing attention to the air pollution from non-electricity industry, the market prospect of non-electricity industry's flue gas treatment is infinitely boosting, but it also faces a huge technological gap. Dr. Ling Xuan, Secretary General of BCAA, pointed out at the forum, "China has made unprecedented efforts to Air Pollution Control in various industries in recent years and the policy progress is significant. Facing the expanding market demand, we should take innovation as the motive force and continue to develop excellent and proven technologies. Only in this way can we gain a firm foothold in China's strict and normalized environmental governance process and achieve long-term and stable development ".
The forum was supported by State Key Laboratory of Pollution Sources and Control of Air Pollution, China Iron and Steel Industry Association, Professional Committee on Environmental Protection and Comprehensive Utilization of Resources of China Cement Association, Jiangsu Iron and Steel Industry Association and Baowu Group - Shanghai Baosteel Energy Service Co.Ltd. The Forum provides a good opportunity and platform for exploring new ways of flue gas management in non-electric industry.
