In order to support China's innovation-driven development and the construction of a powerful intellectual property country, the Bluetech Clean Air Alliance (BCAA) has been carrying out high-value patent cultivation in the field of clean technology since 2017. Over the past two years, BCAA has been working closely with industry and experts by introducing intellectual property rights into their eco-system, carrying out training, organizing pilot project, and actively promoting the cultivation of high-value patents for scientific and technological enterprises in the field of clean technology to support industrial development.
On April 24, on the occasion of the 19th World Intellectual Property Day, BCAA supported the “Enterprise Intellectual Property Innovation Development Summit Forum” as a co-organizer. The forum was hosted by Beijing New Century Inspection & Certification Co., Ltd. (BCC). Zhou Yan, Secretary General of China Intellectual Property Development Alliance, Mr. Shang Zhiqiang, President of BCC, Mr. He Mingang, General Manager of Beijing Intellectual Property Operations Management Co., Ltd. Mr. Zhao Yonghui, Partner of Advance China IP Law Office and other guests participated in the forum. As a special guest, Xie Hongxing, Director of BCAA, made a report on the theme of “cultivating high-value patents – custom technology company intellectual property management system” and participated in the round table discussion.
More than 200 people from various industries, intellectual property agencies, intellectual property management departments and other institutions participated in the forum. In the theme report, Mr. Xie Hongxing pointed out that “China's patent law is being revised and should be completed within this year. The new patent law may increase the compensation for infringement to five times, which will have a huge impact on the technology industry. During the change, companies who firstly realize the value of patents and implement systematic patent strategy will have a huge competitive advantage in their fields.” Xie Hongxing also pointed out: “Compared with electronics, communications, medicine and other industries, environmental technology companies have relatively weak patent awareness. Few companies can carry out systematic patent deployment which could be greatly impacted after the implementation of the new patent law.
As a pioneer in the cultivation of high-value patents in the field of clean technology, BCAA will continue to focus on the cultivation of high-value patents for clean technology, carry out relevant training and technical services and support the rapid development of innovative clean technology companies. In addition, the “2019 China•Haidian High-Value Patent Cultivation Competition” hosted by Haidian Intellectual Property Administration and Intellectual Property Publishing House Co., Ltd. was also launched on April 23. The competition is the first innovation competition in China with the topic of high-value patent cultivation. The competition is inviting many successful entrepreneurs, scientists, intellectual property experts and representatives of investment institutions to provide professional help for the entries. The winners will receive generous rewards, including financing channels and acceleration project opportunities.
