In January 2021, BCAA reached a cooperation agreement with WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center（ADR）, and officially joined WIPO's R&D Cooperation Contract Template Research Project in China. The project plans to develop a series of contract templates for research and development cooperation based on international experience, with the aim of helping stakeholders in China to strengthen their management of intellectual property risk and promote technical cooperation through contract templates.
China Academy of Information and Communications Technology（CAICT）is the general lead agency of China in this project, and many colleges have already joined the project team. The contract templates involved in the project mainly include content such as confidentiality agreements, patent license agreements, and technology transfer agreements. Previously, WIPO had carried out similar cooperative research projects in Germany and Spain.
WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center is a neutral, non-profit international dispute resolution institution which offers time- and cost- efficient alternative dispute resolution (ADR) options, such as mediation, arbitration, expedited arbitration, and expert determination to enable private parties to settle their domestic or cross-border commercial disputes.
