In August 2021, to help green investment institutions identify the listed companies with strong green innovation ability and guide investors interested in green industries to pay attention to and participate in green technology investment, the Bluetech Clean Air Alliance (BCAA) launched the Research Project of “Assessment of Green Innovation Ability of Listed Companies (China)” in the field of energy storage technology, with the support of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Institution of Finance and Sustainability, Greentech Financing Platform and other institutions.
The project will analyze the future technological innovation trends of energy storage technologies, target the important directions and technical routes, and carry out comprehensive search and analysis of corresponding intellectual properties, scientific research team, R&D capabilities, research and development investment, etc., as well as the evaluation of the green innovation ability of listed companies involved in energy storage technologies. Through the evaluation, listed companies with strong green innovation ability in energy storage field will be identified, and relevant information for investors which can assist them in their investment activities will be provided. The specific work will include analysis of technological innovation trend in energy storage industry, design of evaluation method for technological innovation of energy storage related enterprises, screening, analysis and evaluation of listed companies in energy storage industry, preparation of evaluation report and release of evaluation results, etc. The specific work will include: analysis of technological innovation trends in the energy storage industry, design of technology innovation evaluation methods for energy storage-related companies, screening, analysis and evaluation of listed companies in the energy storage industry, and preparation of evaluation reports and release of evaluation results, etc. At present, research work in multiple subdivisions including lithium battery energy storage, sodium-sulfur battery energy storage, and flywheel energy storage has been initiated, and relevant evaluation work is in progress. It is expected that related results will be released before the end of 2021.
