The "Bluetech Carbon Neutrality Pioneers Award" began accepting applications on March 18, 2024, and received enthusiastic responses from numerous green technology companies and teams. Nearly a hundred applications were received. After reviewing the materials and initial screening, the online presentation round commenced on July 9, 2024, and was successfully completed on July 19, 2024.

The award covers multiple key technology areas in the dual carbon field, including batteries and energy storage, hydrogen energy and fuel cells, energy management and carbon assets, carbon capture and utilization, renewable energy, green new materials, energy-saving technologies (industrial energy saving/building energy saving/refrigeration), green transportation and logistics, waste treatment and recycling (circular economy), and other technological fields.

Nearly 40 experts participated in scoring and commenting during the online presentation review phase. These experts included technical experts from research institutions such as Beihang University, China Agricultural University, and Qingdao University, as well as experts from over 30 investment institutions such as State Power Investment Corporation, CNOOC Fund, National Green Development Fund, Zhongke Chuangxing, Sequoia Capital, and intellectual property lawyers from Daoket Law Firm and Yinghe Law Firm.

During the review process, experts engaged in Q&A and provided comments on the projects' core technologies, business models, environmental benefits, intellectual property strategies, and international development. Many experts expressed a desire to establish further connections and collaborations with the projects after the review.

Currently, the working group is compiling and summarizing the evaluations and scores to determine the shortlist of projects. All shortlisted projects will be invited to participate in a special review of technology and intellectual property, which will be assessed by lawyers and intellectual property experts appointed by the award committee.
