The first award dedicated to promoting the best international air pollution prevention and control technologies has officially closed it's call for applications. Supported by the Energy Foundation, the Clean Air Alliance of China (CAAC) launched the Bluetech Award in August 2015 to solve the most pressing air quality challenges in China and around the world. This year’s Bluetech Award focuses on four fields that are relevant to clean air technologies: diesel engine pollution control; VOC substitution, prevention and control; straw recycling and indoor air purification.
The Award campaign is grateful for the support from organizations such as the Vehicle Emission Control Center of China's Ministry of Environmental Protection; the Professional Committee for Pollution, Prevention & Control of VOCs; European Union Chamber of Commerce; Canada China Business Council; China-Italy Chamber of Commerce; UK Clean Air Alliance; Vehicle Emission Testing Center; China Energy Network; China Bio-energy Network.
With the call for application officially closing on 30th September, the Bluetech Committee started to execute CAAC’s “Clean Air Technology Assessment Methodology” to assess 55 applied technologies from the US, Australia, EU, Southeast Asia, and mainland China. The assessment will examine achieved performance and testing results to look for breakthrough potential in terms of environmental impact, technical performance and financial viability.
The winning programmes will receive all Bluetech benefits that includes the opportunity to display and speak at the China International Clean Air Technology Forum; join tours to key pilot cities and partake in customized, exclusive investor and client meetings; receive coverage on major Chinese and global media partners; be highlighted on our “Bluetech Catalogue” that will be promoted to relevant parties; as well as receive the Bluetech Award certificate and trophy.
The Bluetech Award Event & China International Clean Air Technology Forum will be held in mid-December of the year. All Bluetech supporting partners, technology applicants, CAAC’s Clean Air Enterprise Network members, and representatives from China’s local environmental departments are invited to attend the final event for networking and educational opportunities surrounding clean air technology developments.
