According to China’s Meteorological Administration, 2015 was the warmest year since 1961. The national average temperature was 10.5℃−about 1℃ higher than usual. Annual average concentrations of three key greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O) were also slightly higher in China than global concentrations in 2014. Meteorological conditions contributed to the serious air pollution problems experienced last winter.
