In the 4day Red Alert for air pollution, the Beijing government implemented air quality management measures such as restricted traffic based on even and odd license plate numbers, suspended construction, and temporarily closed classes in middle and primary schools. However, over 110 thousand vehicles broke the rules of traffic restriction, with total penalties reaching RMB 11 million.
