During the second media meeting of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), members of the national committee of CPPCC responded to hot topics such as the cause of haze, China’s carbon emissions, and the role of media in environmental protection. The vice director of the Population Resource Environmental Commission, Mr.Qin Dahe regards scattered coal burning and unclean coal as the main causes of haze. In big cities, coal is the major pollution source, but vehicle emissions also make a contribution. Utilizing clean coal is key to improving air quality.
