According to the report, the first 74 cities implementing new air quality standards ensured an average decrease in PM2.5 concentrations of 14.1 percent compared to 2014. Out of 338 prefecture cities, 73 cities (21.6 percent) met their targets. Written by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, National Energy Administration, and other ministries, the report covers many aspects of China’s environment, including air, water, and forests.
