On April 16th, 2017, the policy, technology and market outlook for the "Bluetech" Clean Air was launched at Beihang University. Representatives from the Appraisal Center for Environment & Engineering at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Beihang University, Beijing Normal University, as well as the Clean Air Innovation Center, attended the event.
The project aims to widely improve air quality in urban China by 2030, and focuses on the systematical analysis of the challenges in the fields of macroeconomic structure, energy structure and traffic development through modeling. The project is a campaign dedicated to provide suggestions and scientific basis for rational planning and policy making.
Details of the project scope and tasks were discussed actively during the meeting. Consensus was reached and the key research objects were identified, these include ultra-low emissions for coal-fired power plants, VOCs pollution prevention, clean transportation, indoor air quality monitoring, and air purification. Experts contributed to further development of the project through an in-depth discussion about industry development and demands in the key industries.
