The Meeting for Clean Energy Substitution in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei was HeldPost date: 2017-05-22

On May 18th, the meeting for typical case analysis and policy recommendation on clean energy substitution in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region was held in Beijing.


Experts from the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), Beijing Municipal Commission of Rural Affairs, Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau (Beijing EPB), ESCO Committee of China Energy Conservation Association (EMCA), China Renewable Energy Society (CRES) and China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC) have participated the meeting.


At the meeting, Dr. Qian Wentao, from the Beijing Municipal Research Institute of Environmental Protection, presented a detailed report on the medium-term progress of the project. Xie Hongxing, director of the secretariat of CAAC, introduced the framework of the guidelines for disaggregated coal treatment and clean heating. Experts have fully affirmed the importance of this guideline to the clean winter heating in the Northern China. After active discussion, numerous constructive suggestions were raised.


The guideline of typical case analysis and policy recommendation on clean energy substitution in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is under entrusted of the Beijing municipal environmental protection bureau, supported by the Energy Foundation. The project is an important research project hosted collectively by the Beijing environmental protection science research institute and the secretariat of Clean Air Alliance of China (CAAC). The project aims to summarize experience in disaggregated coal governance in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, providing support to the local disaggregated coal and coal boiler treatment.
