VOCs Pollution Control and Prevention for Jing-Jin-Ji Region and Monitoring Technology Development Forum held in TianjinPost date: 2017-08-18

On August 17th and 18th, VOCs Pollution Control and Prevention for Jing-Jin-Ji Region and Monitoring Technology Development Forum was held in Tianjin. The forum was focused on  policy interpretation, industrial demands on VOCs controltechnology and face to face discussion with technology provdiers, with four sections – interpretation of the newest policy, study of the control and prevention technologies, unveiling the industry needs and training on the technologies.

Mr, Yang Jintian, the former Deputy Chief Engineer of Chinese Academy For Environmental Planning (CAEP), interpreted the joint prevention and control mechanism of combined air pollution in Jing-Jin-Ji area, from the requirements of joint control and prevention to the achievement to date and present problems. At last, he proposed the steps for further improvements, indicating that as going deeper, the pollutant reduction work should adopt delicacy management, multi-pollutants control and multi-sources management. Besides, he also listed different measures for the future work.

Mrs. Ning Miao, the Director of Integrated Atmospheric Planning Office, Atmospheric Environmental Institute of CAEP, gave a detailed interpretation regarding the work plan of VOCs prevention and control during “13th Five-Year”Plan. The speech included adjusting industrial structure, accelerating the emission control of industrial VOCs sources, further preventing the VOCs transportation, and establishing comprehensive VOCs emission monitoring system.

Mr. Xie Hongxing, the Director of Innovation Center for Clean-air Solutions, analyzed the scale of future VOCs market and pointed out that the real excellent environmental protection technologies can overcome both long-term and short-term challenges, on which he also introduced assessment methodology of Bluetech award, as well as some Bluetech winners.

Problems and challenges on VOCs monitoring and control, as well as technology demand were discussed in other section.

The forum was sponsored by Z-park International Environment Industry Promotion Center, Beijing and Tianjin Sustainable Development Board, organized by Gootech and  Clean Air Alliance of China (CAAC). It was supported Administrative Committee of Z-park, Tianjin Science and Technology Commission and Energy Foundation (China).
