The preliminary assessment workshop for the 3rd Bluetech Award was held in Beijing, 14th – 15th October. The workshop included 5 technology sections, they are emission control for non-electrical coal combustion, diesel engine emission reduction technologies, VOCs substitution and pollution prevention, advanced air quality and pollution monitoring technologies, and indoor air pollution purification. Totally 63 technologies came from 13 countries (China, UK, France, US, Japan, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Israel, New Zealand and Malaysia) were assessed by corresponding expert panels within Bluetech assessment committee.
The assessment committee was assembled with about 30 experts from more than 20 institutes and organizations. The experts contributed their professional advises and suggestions regarding technical performance, environmental and economic benefits, practicality and innovativeness.
In the next step, the finalists and award winners will be selected by further assessment including desk review, on-site investigation and laboratory test.
