In the first half of 2017 (from January to June), the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China were completed by 212,000 vehicles and 195,000 vehicles respectively, which increased by 19.7% and 14.4% respectively. Electric vehicles, as the most energy-saving and environmental friendly fleet, have been produced 175,000 units in half a year, with sales of 160,000 units, and production and sales growth of 30.4 percent and 26.2 percent respectively. The country is expected to have more than five million electric vehicles by 2020.
