Delivering on clean profitability is a license to do business in the 21st century. As a non-profit organization, the partner of Bluetech, Solar Impulse created the World Alliance for Effcient Solutions. Members of the World Alliance will create synergies, share knowledge and expertise, and ultimately fast-track the implementation of Efficient Solutions that can set the world on a path of clean economic growth.
The Solar Impulse Foundation has set itself a new challenge: to select 1000 clean, efficient and profitable solutions, and present them to decision makers to accelerate the transition to a carbon-free and sustainable economy. From prototypes to fully operational, the solutions can be products, services, technologies or processes working. To select breakthrough innovations that protect the environment in a profitable way, Solar Impulse have developed the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label. Innovators who submit their solutions must go through a strict assessment process made by a pool of independent experts. If the solutions meet the requirements in technological feasibility, environmental impact, and economic profitability, they are granted the Solar Impulse. The members of the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions can submit their solution to be granted the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label.
Efficient Solution Label, and included in the 1000 solutions portfolio. Once selected and labelled, the 1000 solutions will be included in a comprehensive portfolio. In 2019, Bertrand Piccard will embark on a new round the world journey to deliver these 1000 solutions to relevant governments, corporations and institutions to show their huge economic and environmental impact. His aim is to convince decision-makers in businesses and governments to achieve their environmental targets and adopt more ambitious energy policies, which are necessary to pull these solutions to market.
