BCAA Was Invited to The 1st Air Sensors International Conference in Oakland, California USAPost date: 2018-09-14

September 12th to 14th, UC Davis Air Quality Research Center in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, California Air Resources Board, South Coast Air Quality Management District and National Institute for Environmental Health hosed the 1st Air Sensors International Conference in Oakland, California, USA to promote organizational communication and air quality science development.

Experts in the field from the Environmental Protection Agency, California Air Resources Board, South Coast Air Quality Management District, Bay Area Air Quality Management District and the other governments and organizations participated in this conference. Over 1000 people were attended and shared research and deliberate about Regulation and Performance Standards, Indoor Air Quality, Gas and Vapor Sensing, Particle Sensing, Emerging Technologies, Mobile Technologies, Data sharing and harmonization and other related topics through this event.

Tonny Xie, Director of the Bluetech Clean Air Alliance, was invited as a guest speaker to the conference. He made a speech on 14th September about "Selected City Cases of Sensor Technology Application in China," shared cases of Chinese cities in the areas of grid monitoring, mobile monitoring, pollution source monitoring and so on. "With the continuous effort for air quality management, China's clean air market will create significant structural investment opportunities.” Mr. Xie mentioned, "According to BCAA’s study, air quality monitoring will bring China more than 130 billion USD market space by 2030."

The conference brought together stakeholders from academia, government, communities, and commercial interests to promote and advance air pollution sensors, improve the data quality from these sensors, expand the pollutants measured, and foster community involvement in monitoring air quality.
