Resume

Mei Zheng is currently aprofessor in the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Peking University, China. She has studied and worked in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and the United States, including Sun Yat-sen University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of Rhode Island, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Georgia Institute of Technology. She went to USA in 1996 and received a Ph.D. degree from the Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island. During 2000-2001, she was a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology with the late Prof. Glen Cass and a visiting postdoctoral fellow in the Environmental Science and Engineering Program, University of Wisconsin-Madison with Prof. James Schauer. Then, she led her group to conduct research related to air pollution, particularly in the area of fine particulate matter pollution at Georgia Institute of Technology. After staying in the United States for 14 years, she came back to China to work as a full professor in Peking University by the end of 2010. Her current research interest is air pollution, especially physicaland chemical properties of fine particulate matter, how to quickly and accurately identify sources of fine PM and its potential health impacts. By 2014, she has published about 90 papers including 70 SCI papers. They have been cited for over 2000 times.
